Susan Fentin Recognized Among ‘Top Women of Law’

Skoler, Abbott & Presser, P.C., is pleased to announce that Susan G. Fentin, a Partner in the firm, will be an honoree at the annual “Top Women of Law” event presented by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The event recognizes the top 50 female legal professionals in Massachusetts and celebrates the outstanding achievements made by exceptional women in the legal profession. Each year, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly honors women who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in their field. The awards highlight 50 women who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models.

The Top Women of Law Award considered Susan’s leadership, vision, passion, and advocacy professionally – through her involvement in employment law discussions locally and nationally – as well as personally, as evidenced by her work on behalf of the hungry and disabled. In her practice, Susan specializes in helping employers with their labor and employment law issues, counseling employers on handling difficult employee situations and avoiding litigation, defending employers against charges of discrimination under state and federal law, and employment litigation in state and federal court. She is the Editor of the Massachusetts Employment Law Letter and has been a frequent speaker at the Advanced Employment Issues Symposium in Las Vegas, Nev. She also teaches Master Classes on behalf of BLR on the Americans with Disabilities Act, Wage and Hour, and the Family and Medical Leave Act, in addition to numerous webinars on topics of interest to employers in Massachusetts.

In addition, with the support of the firm, Susan has had a strong commitment to volunteerism. She is a member of the board of trustees of the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, and a former Board Chair. She is also President of the board of directors for Riverside Industries, Inc., an organization that provides life skills, development, and employment options for people with developmental disabilities in western Massachusetts.

A resident of Conway, Susan joined the firm in 1999 and has been a Partner since 2004. Congratulations, Susan! Skoler Abbott is proud of your accomplishments and lucky to have you as a member of the firm.
